A free, no-signup foundation shade equivalent finder. Pick a shade you already wear in one brand, see your match in 9+ other brands instantly.
Finding your foundation shade in a new brand is one of the most frustrating parts of makeup shopping. The big retailers (Sephora, Ulta) offer shade-finder tools but they're limited to their own brands and rely on quizzes that take 5 minutes. Findation.com has cross-brand data but the UI is from 2014 and barely works on mobile. We built this because we wanted a cleaner answer.
Every shade has two attributes: depth (how light or dark, on a 1–10 scale) and undertone (cool, neutral, warm, or olive). When you pick a shade you already wear, the calculator looks up its depth and undertone, then finds the closest match in every other supported brand using a weighted similarity score (depth matters more than undertone).
The shade data is compiled from publicly available swatches and brand color charts. Matches are designed to be a strong starting point — not a guarantee. Real-world factors that affect actual fit include formula type (matte foundations oxidize darker than dewy ones), skin pH, time of day, and store lighting. Always swatch in natural daylight before buying full-size.
The starting database includes Maybelline Fit Me, L'Oréal True Match, NARS Sheer Glow, MAC Studio Fix, Estée Lauder Double Wear, Fenty Pro Filt'r, Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless, Make Up For Ever HD Skin, and Rare Beauty Liquid Touch. We're adding new brands and shades on a regular basis based on what users ask for most.

Not affiliated with any foundation brand. Shade data may be slightly inaccurate as formulas change over time. This is a quick-lookup tool, not a substitute for trying foundation in person.
